This dataset contains geographic information system (GIS) mapping data representing parcel boundaries of Government Owned Parcels in the State of Utah. It was created using the most recent parcel boundaries available for a county and a table of government-owned parcels provided by the counties. Parcel categories are a best-effort estimate from UGRC, unless provided by the county.

This dataset is provided to satisfy the requirements of Utah HB 433 (2023) regarding the publication of government-owned property data. The data represents what is currently available from Utah counties, and is part of an ongoing initiative to assemble and standardize government-owned parcel data across the state.

Please note:

UGRC and the Utah Association of Counties (UAC) are actively working in partnership to address known challenges related to data collection, schema integration, and attribute consistency. Considering county-level data varies, users can expect to encounter inconsistencies, gaps, or errors in this data.

By using this dataset, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

A parcel boundary is the legally defined border that outlines the limits of a specific piece of real estate. This data layer contains polygons created using Utah Parcels and tax roll records provided by county Assessors in Utah.

The center shall, in coordination with the Governor's Office of Planning and Budget and county assessors, annually compile a statewide GIS database of all government-owned property parcels in internet-accessible, searchable, and map format.

Updates

The Government Owned Parcels are updated annually or when new county data is provided.
